How to enjoy mother's day without spending a fortune
Things you can do for your mom on Mother's Day.
You can spoil her rotten! You could take her breakfast in bed, make her lunch, take her out for dinner. You could make sure that she doesn't do any of the normal chores she would do on a Sunday. It might mean you doing the ironing, the washing-up, making the beds, or pulling the washing on, box taking the time and effort to do these things will show your mom just how much you appreciate all the things she does for you.
You could write her a poem! It isn't as hard as you think to write poetry, and just by having a try at putting your thoughts down on paper, will really impressive that you've gone to the trouble to do this.
You could make her a card. Rather than buying a shop bought cards, you could make one yourself. You could print it out on your printer, or draw it by hand. You could just do cutting and sticking if you really wanted.
You could spend time with her doing the things she likes. Just offer to spend a few hours with her, doing the things that she enjoys doing. It might mean spending an afternoon in doing a jigsaw with her, having a really great chat, so you both have a really special day.
Apart from taking your mom out to dinner, none of the above things cost to much apart from time and effort. In this busy world, it is essential that we do take the time to let those we love know how much we care.
